I'm a journalist who prioritizes clean copy and improving newsrooms. Most recently, I was the digital news producer for Guns & America, a public media collaborative led out of WAMU 88.5 in Washington. While there, I also expanded the editorial infrastructure for the WAMU/DCist newsrooms. From 2016 until February 2020, I was a copy editor and web producer for Slate magazine. As a reporter, I previously covered local governments, schools, military/veterans affairs, general assignment and breaking news for The Free Lance–Star in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where I also worked other odd jobs. For a little while, I copy edited news at Mic.

I play a lot of video games.
